Your Role
As the AI & Emerging Technology Lead, you will spearhead our AI-driven technology initiatives with a strong focus on physical product innovation—specifically, leveraging AI to launch and optimize new physical products on e-commerce marketplaces. In this role, you will lead a dynamic team of data analysts, data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to drive measurable, impactful results for the world's largest multi-category consumer products company focused on Amazon. Your leadership will be pivotal in shaping the future of our AI-powered product strategies and delivering innovative solutions that set us apart in the competitive landscape.. You will have access to unique datasets drawn from live and historical performance and consumer feedback of tens of thousands of owned live product listings and millions of 3rd competitor listings to build and evolve a world-first digital-concept-to-physical-product automation pipeline.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with senior business and technology leaders across the organization to identify and coordinate top-level goals that can be achieved via technology investment
- Utilizing your expertise in BI, data science workflows, and comprehensive understanding of business strategy and operations to shape the direction of AI-driven products across all areas of the org
- Drive the medium term (3-6mo) and immediate roadmap for development of technology that drives specific business goals leveraging a mix of AI tools and core automation technology to create
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ideate AI-driven product concepts, test hypotheses using AI models, estimate costs and benefits of AI implementation, and determine the priority of viable AI-driven products
- Effectively communicating the vision, strategy, and roadmap for each AI-driven product to stakeholders through various formal and informal channels, emphasizing the transformative impact of AI in product development.
- Being expected to provide daily leadership and direction to cross-functional team(s) on priorities, driving a culture of business impact, transparency, and trust
- Helping build products to ensure scalability from region to region, incorporating different needs into the roadmap, driving uniformity wherever possible and enabling customization where strategically warranted
- Monitor competitive and comparable capabilities to inform product strategy and design
- Drive internal metrics for measuring speed to market, quality of development, and ROI
Your Profile
To succeed in this role you:
- Possess 5-8 years of product management experience in e-commerce data, retail, or consumer goods, with a deep understanding of AI applications in these domains.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from premier schools, with an MBA considered a plus.
- Have experience in Marketplace, Planning & Buying, E-commerce, Retail, Supply Chain Management, Category Management, Vendor Management, or Partner Experience, which is advantageous.
- Demonstrate proficiency in working with large datasets and leveraging AI analytics for informed decision-making.
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Are tech-savvy with a keen interest in monitoring industry and AI technology trends, providing thought leadership in AI-driven product development.
- Are an innovative, strategic thinker capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on solving complex problems through AI solutions.
- Have prior experience working with engineering teams throughout the complete technology product lifecycle, particularly in integrating AI into product development.
- Are eager to delve deeper into techniques for applying Big Data and AI in the E-commerce industry.
