Your Role

Razor is seeking a highly driven and analytical analyst to join our team as a Senior Analyst of the Decision Engine, focusing on pricing and promotions algorithms. This is a unique opportunity to have a massive impact at a rapidly growing company by directly influencing the profitability and growth of our portfolio of brands. You will lead the development and implementation the core pricing and promotions algorithmic logic that powers our automated decision-making engine, optimizing profit outcomes for thousands of consumer products. The Decision Engine:

Our Decision Engine is the technological backbone of Razor's success. It's a sophisticated system that leverages advanced algorithms and machine learning to automate and optimize key business levers, including pricing, advertising, and inventory management. By analyzing vast amounts of data, the Decision Engine identifies opportunities to maximize profitability and drive growth across our portfolio of brands.

Your responsibilities will include:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Own the roadmap execution for the pricing and promotions optimization algorithms within the Decision Engine.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and align algorithmic strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to implement innovative pricing and promotions models.
  • Present findings, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

Algorithmic Development and Implementation:

  • Lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of advanced algorithms for dynamic pricing, and promotions levers.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of data pipelines that feed the Decision Engine with timely market data, competitor insights, and internal performance metrics.
  • Build and refine economic models that leverage price elasticities and demand forecasts.
  • Work closely with engineering and product teams to integrate algorithms and models into the Decision Engine platform.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in algorithmic performance and implement solutions to maximize profitability and efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across various departments, including portfolio management, operations, supply chain, and finance, to ensure alignment and effective implementation of algorithmic strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, translating complex technical concepts into clear and actionable insights.

Your Profile

To succeed in this role you:

  • Have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field from a top-tier university.
  • Have 1+ years of relevant experience in data science, algorithmic development, or quantitative modelling, with a proven track record of successfully contributing to automated quantitative algorithms.
  • Have experience in e-commerce, consumer products, or quantitative trading industries is highly desirable.
  • Have high proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in developing and deploying production-level pipelines.
  • Have developed an understanding of statistical modelling, machine learning algorithms, and optimization techniques
  • Have experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data technologies is a plus.
  • Have experience working with large datasets and building scalable data pipelines.
  • Have experience with A/B testing and experimentation methodologies.
  • Have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.o Have strong leadership abilities with a demonstrated ability to drive and own material business initiatives.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
